Lordco Auto Parts has come a long way – over 90 stores across BC and Alberta. The story starts back in September 1974 when two friends, Roy Lord, and Ed Coates, kicked things off. They opened the first Lordco Auto Parts store in Maple Ridge, BC in a 900-square-foot space with just one employee on the team.
Right from the start, Roy and Ed knew that to be successful in the auto parts industry meant being honest and educated. They knew that it was important to have knowledgeable staff, offer quality products, and make sure that customers received the best service. That’s the secret that set the stage for their success.
Their flagship store in Maple Ridge has moved a handful of times, but the current location is just a few blocks from where it all began. It’s a nod to how deeply they’re connected to the community. This whole journey shows their commitment to giving customers top-notch car solutions. As the business keeps growing, plans to expand further into Western Canada take place.
Kicking January off is Cole from Throttle Thrashers Garage and his 1991 Nissan Skyline GTR. This R32 GTR is like no other, featuring a big turbo, 2JZ-powered, all-wheel drive system. A complete left-hand drive conversion was done on this vehicle after Cole had acquired it.
The molded widebody features a fully custom deep green paint job that leaves us breathless. The black Work Equip wheels with yellow accents flow extremely well with the rest of the exterior and complement the car subtly yet beautifully. A fully custom interior done by Cole ties everything together and reminds us why this was an award-winning vehicle at SEMA.
