Lordco Covid-19 Update
The COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly affected the way we all live, work, and shop in Canada. We at Lordco Auto Parts are very grateful to all our customers and employees for upholding and respecting the protocols we have implemented to keep our stores safe and our doors open during this crisis. At Lordco Auto Parts we have always considered the health and well-being of our valued customers and employees a top priority and are aware we have an important role in providing essential supplies to our customers and communities who serve those who keep our communities safe.
We want you to know what we are doing to keep our customers and our staff safe. Our Business Continuity Team has met daily since the beginning of this crisis to ensure we are implementing the latest directives from the Federal and Provincial Governments. We are constantly reassessing the precautions being taken and looking for ways to do more. To date, the following practices and programs are now in place at our stores and warehouses.
As of Saturday, May 16th, all Lordco stores have returned to their regular operating hours. This will allow the number of customers in our stores to be spread out over more hours and will allow us to offer more working hours to our team. Many Lordco locations are offering curbside pickup for customers who prefer to remain in their vehicles rather than shop instore. Visit Lordco.com for the full list of available locations and curbside pickup instructions.
The following practices are taking place at every Lordco store to ensure the in-store shopping experience is clean and safe for
- There is a limit of 5-10 customers in our stores at one time, depending on the size of the store. This is being enforced
by a staff member at the front door.
- Cleaning and sanitization protocols have increased significantly. Stores are being cleaned hourly or more, including all
high-touch surfaces like door handles, phones, counters, and delivery vehicles.
- Staff are washing their hands frequently and wiping down tills after every transaction.
- We are encouraging physical distancing in all stores by providing social distancing recommendations with signage at
our front doors and checkouts as well as plexiglass in front of our cashiers. We are asking customers to stand behind

Meals for Truck Drivers BC
Lordco is proud to support Meals for Truck Drivers BC by sponsoring complimentary food truck services for truck drivers at select Chevron Cardlock locations on April 27 – 29 in Chilliwack and Kelowna, and on April 29, May 1 and May 2 in Kamloops.
As the COVID-19 crisis progresses, professional truck drivers have been having an increasingly difficult time accessing food, restrooms, and other resources while on the road. Meals For Truck Drivers and the BC Trucking Association are mobilizing the food truck industry to bring meals, along with portable wash facilities, to card locks in locations in need around the province.

LORDCO’S COVID-19 RESPONSE
As we continue to adapt to the challenges of COVID-19, Lordco is focused on the well-being of our staff and the community. In compliance with public health policy, we have increased the frequency of cleaning protocols, enforced social distancing, and we are actively educating our staff on preventative measures. Lordco Trade Show Updates
Due to the repercussions of the COVID-19 outbreak including travel restrictions and bans on large gatherings, Lordco has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Lordco Trade Show.
The decision to cancel this event will only affect the on-site experience of the Trade Show, and our Spring Promotional Campaign will continue with our catalogue. Thank you for your understanding, more details will be announced soon.
With the current state of the world, we hope working on your own vehicle gives you something to keep you busy and perhaps spend some much-needed self-isolation time outdoors. Here’s what we recommend you take care of this time of year:
- Oil change: Recommended every 5,000km or 3 months. Routine oil and filter changes help remove particles and sludge and keep engines at peak condition.
- Wiper Blades: Recommended every 6 months – year. It’s best to replace wipers after a rough winter. Leaving them on for too long may scratch or damage your windshield.
- Brake Pads: Recommended every 40,000 – 110,000km. If your brakes squeal or shudder, they should be replaced.
