Video tour: Lordco 31,000-sq.-ft Port Coquitlam store
“Jobber Nation publisher and director of content Andrew Ross took a few minutes away from the Lordco 29th Annual Trade show to visit the new flagship location.
The store, located on Oxford Connector in Port Coquitlam, about a 30 minute drive outside Vancouver, B.C., boasts a massive showroom, fully merchandised departments for the trade customer, and–notably–a Truck Centre with a wide selection of accessories and off-road gear, and an outdoors equipment section for the camping and outdoors enthusiasts that complements it.”April 5

The Pitt Meadows Secondary School automotive program has received a huge “lift” after receiving a generous donation of new tools and equipment from the Ed Coates Memorial Foundation.
“On behalf of School District 42 Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows I would like to thank the Ed Coates Memorial Foundation (ECMF) for their generous support of our secondary shop programs,” said Steve Wiebe – Principal of Youth Train In Trades and Work In Trades Programs.
“They have gone above and beyond with their donations of high-quality tools and equipment to all of our secondary schools. I would like to mention specifically the donation the Ed Coates Memorial Foundation has made last month to Pitt Meadows Secondary School’s automotive and metal fabrication programs – their donation of a hoist, and an assortment of tools have enhanced these programs immeasurably.”
ECMF’s contribution towards the school’s automotive program includes: tools, welding machines, spray guns and a brand-new hoist.
The total donation amounts to over $25,000, which will better help the students of Pitt Meadows achieve their goals within the automotive repair industry.
The Ed Coates Memorial Foundation – Ed Coates founded Lordco Auto Parts in 1974 with a modest 900 square foot store in Maple Ridge, BC. Through diligence, commitment to service and knowledge of the industry, Ed quickly established Lordco as BC’s leader for automotive parts and accessories.
The Ed Coates Memorial Foundation (ECMF) was formed by his wife and children after Ed’s sudden passing in February 2014 with the hopes of creating a bold, creative, and inventive organization to carry on his legacy. The Foundation was born through the drive and generosity of Ed Coates. He supported his local community of Maple Ridge and other places across British Columbia in many ways through his business. The impact that Ed had on the community was significant and unforgettable. The Foundation will embody these same principles that Ed lived by each day.March 25
